Hello Prospective Campers & Parents,
Looking for a soccer camp this summer? Summer Camp season beckons. For 30 years I have been coaching soccer camps in the USA! In my time the role of the soccer camp has gradually evolved. As more and more players play the game. As standards of playing, coaching & refereeing continue to rise so have the caliber of soccer camps.

We, at Lightning Soccer Camps, pride ourselves in a program that provides instruction, fun and controlled competition to help develop young American soccer players both as players and fans of the great game of Soccer!

We have developed several appropriate camp programs for all ages from 6-18:

With our day camps we have 2 programs with an accompanying goalkeeper program for players who have that interest:
1). SoccerJuniors (grades 1-5) target the younger player. Fun, skill introduction & conditioned games form the core of a program that aims to get youngsters excited to play and learn the game.
2). Advanced Day (grades 5-12) takes things up a level. Players with experience are challenged with increased skill development in alliance with fundamental tactics. Whilst we try to target good club & town travel players we still have the staff to enhance the games of all players whatever their background of skill and experience.
Note: Players going into 5th grade can choose to attend SoccerJuniors or Advanced program according to experience and ability.

Beyond our day camps we offer 3 great residential experiences ...
1). Academy (grades 6-8). For middle school aged players who want to challenge their game at a higher level of instruction.
2). Elite (grades 9-12). For high school players preparing for the coming season or for those who just want to raise the level of their game.
3). College Prep (grades 11-12). For juniors & seniors who are targeting play at the College level. We provide the programs and insight on what needs to be done in order to play at the intercollegiate level down the road.

Goalkeepers! Again, we haven't forgotten you on our overnights!! Our Goalkeeper Camp offers concurrent programs to all of our programs, day & residential, above. Get a taster of Bernie Watt's great program at our Annual Goalkeeper Clinic June 13th at Tufts University. Matt Reis of the New England Revolution will be there in attendance!!

It is my opinion that a good soccer camp is a place where a young player can spend significant time working on the things you don't have time to do with your team, club or youth soccer association! There are not the time limitations of trying to prepare and win your next game. Accordingly, a good soccer camp can be a great supplement to the year-round soccer programs with which your son or daughter is involved.

I cannot stress enough that we have a great amount of appropriate structure and instruction compared to many other soccer camps. However, whatever the age it has to be enjoyable. We try to make the camp fun! We strive to have the best of both worlds here at Lightning Soccer Camps!!!

Lightning Soccer has been in existence since 1986 and will be entering its twentieth year in the Greater Boston area. We anticipate our best year to date!! Our camp programs offer technical & tactical training for all ability levels. From beginners through players looking to play at the College level. The programs are both challenging & fun. Programs at the older age groups provide a strong training basis for the forthcoming Fall season and are therefore suitably intense. Our excellent & versatile staff create a great environment at all sites. Activities are tailored towards each age group to provide an exciting soccer atmosphere for players of any & all ages!
