2). Do I have to signup for 2 weeks of camp?
No! Sometimes people think you have to signup for both weeks of Tufts or Curry. Not at all, one week is fine if it better fits your schedule.
3). Do I have to attend camp as part of a team or a group?
Again – no!! The majority of campers probably come by themself or with a friend or sibling. We may have teams or groups at all sessions but even at the second week at Dean, which is the most popular week for team signups, the majority of participants come by themselves or with a friend.
4). When is the halfday program advisable on the day camp?
In our opinion the majority of children grades 1-3 are better suited to the halfday program. However, this is not a hard & fast rule. Children develop and mature at different rates!! We also understand that it is not practical for some families. Not to worry we have a great staff and structured program so we can handle the youngsters for a full week Monday to Friday!!
5). Is College Prep & Preseason Preparation offered all weeks at the Overnight Camps?
In a word “Yes!” The first week at Curry is more popular for College Prep players, the second week more popular for players looking to get ready for preseason. However, schedules vary throughout the country so we can cater to each group very week of our overnights. The structure of the program is different each week as we have a number of campers who like to do 2 weeks of overnight.
6). How do we choose which day camp to attend as a 5th grader the coming fall?
We have found that players at this age tend to be best suited to the SoccerJuniors camp. However, there is already a group of players that have received significant training within a club type structure. They may be ready for the training demands of the Advanced Camp program. Although more advanced training is bound to appeal keep in mind that “social” considerations are also of relevance as your son or daughter will be playing with players 1 or 2 grades higher.
